The European Institute for Multidisciplinary Studies on Human Rights and Science | Knowmad Institut has provided this special site to link the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) with the vision of knowmads, digital migrants or natives across the globe through intergenerational collaboration, knowledge management and the preservation of human dignity.
The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) are an urgent call to action by all countries in the framework of a global partnership. Recognizing that ending poverty and other deprivations must be accompanied by strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality and stimulate economic growth, while addressing climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.
Approved by all Member States of the United Nations in 2015, the SDGs offer a shared plan for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and in the future.
For the Goals of the 2030 Agenda to become a reality, broad SDG ownership must translate into a strong commitment by all stakeholders, and partnership within and between civil society, academia, the private sector, Governments and international organizations to adopt sustainable practices, implement sustainable policies, and meet the global goals. The Knowmad Institut reiterates its aim to help facilitate this commitment.
