From the European Institute for Multidisciplinary Studies on Human Rights and Sciences – Knowmad Institut we are proud that one of our founders was selected to participate in the One Young World Summit and has made known the work that our team does every day for a sustainable, fairer and multipolar world.
The annual One Young World Summit convenes the brightest young talent from every country and sector, working to accelerate social impact. Delegates from 190+ countries are counselled by influential political, business and humanitarian leaders such as Justin Trudeau, Paul Polman and Meghan Markle, amongst many other global figures. The One Young World Summit 2021 takes place in Munich, Germany from 22 – 25 July 2021.
The Knowmad Institut as an active part of the Rome Consensus 2.0 is always looking for ways to contribute to its expansion and visibility. The main objective of the Rome Consensus 2.0 is to contribute to the transition towards a Humanitarian Drug Policy to save lives, alleviate suffering and maintain human dignity by fighting against the social, legal and cultural criminalization and stigmatization of people who use drugs (PWUD) and people suffering from substance use disorders.
The sense of the humanitarian policy framework of the Rome Consensus 2.0 statement comes from humane attitude in support of more vulnerable people.
Global Young Leaders Join Rome Consensus 2.0
During the summit, Ambassadors from 22 countries joined this global effort to restore the dignity of millions of people:
Next year, we hope to present our work at the One Young World Summit 2022 in Tokyo and raise awareness of the critical need for global humanitarian drug policy reform and the adoption of emerging technologies for the preservation of human dignity in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
