The Knowmad Institut – European Institute for Multidisciplinary Studies on Human Rights and Science is an independent Think & Do Tank based in Brandenburg, Germany.
Since 2018, we have been working at the intersection of research, policy, and technology to advance Human Dignity, Open Science, and Sustainable Development. Our team provides evidence, analysis, and advocacy that support decision-makers in the public and private sectors, civil society, and international organizations in facing the challenges of emerging technologies, global security, and human rights.
Our initiatives range from publishing a diamond open-access journal, to coordinating international coalitions for humanitarian drug policy reform, to promoting digital rights and curating access to millions of open scientific resources.
We act locally and globally, committed to making sure that facts, science, and ethics remain at the core of governance in uncertain times.
